PREPARE FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT

PRECARE

2 Weeks before your Appointment:

  • Avoid Heavy Sun Exposure: Refrain from prolonged sun exposure before your appointment, as it increases blood flow to the skin's surface and may cause bleeding during the procedure.

  • Skip Botox and Fillers: Do not receive Botox or dermal fillers around the brow area prior to your appointment, as these can affect the results of your tattoo.

  • Avoid Sunburn: Ensure you do not come to your appointment with a sunburned brow area, as this can negatively impact the retention and appearance of your cosmetic tattoo.

1  Week before your Appointment:

  • Discontinue Fish Oil Supplements: Stop taking fish oil supplements before your appointment, as they can increase bleeding.

  • Stop Blood Thinners: Discontinue any blood thinners. If you're unsure about your medications, please contact us for guidance.

  • Avoid Facials and Chemical Peels: Do not get facials or chemical peels in the brow area before your appointment, as these can affect the healing process.

  • Reduce Retinoids Usage: Cut down on the use of retinoids or retinols around the brow area to prevent skin irritation.

  • No Eyebrow Treatments: Avoid eyebrow waxing, brow tinting, henna brows, or dyeing your brows before your appointment.

2 Days before your Appointment:

  • Avoid Caffeine: Refrain from consuming all caffeine products, including energy drinks, coffee, tea, and pre-workout supplements.

  • Skip Alcohol: Do not drink alcohol, as it can thin the blood.

  • Avoid Painkillers: Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or other painkillers. Please check the ingredients list of any medications you take.

  • Avoid Spicy Foods: Steer clear of spicy foods like chili, as they can also thin the blood.

The above substances can increase bleeding during the procedure, so it’s important to avoid them to ensure the best results.

AFTERCARE

Important Aftercare Guidelines

Upon leaving your appointment, you will receive an aftercare card, ointment, and eyebrow guards. It is crucial to follow these instructions carefully for the first 10 days following your cosmetic tattoo procedure. Proper aftercare is essential and, along with pre-care, makes up 90% of the healing process.

  • No Exercise or Heavy Sweating: Refrain from exercise or any activities that cause heavy sweating until all scabs have naturally fallen off, which typically takes around 10 days.

  • Detailed Instructions: A more detailed outline of aftercare will be provided to you on the day of your appointment.

  • Following these guidelines diligently will help ensure the best possible outcome for your cosmetic tattoo.
